Yes, Roy can and will be beaten eventually. I'm using a football comparison, but Patrick Roy reminds me of Mike Singletary for the San Francisco 49ers. He brought a breath of fresh air with his in-your-face, no BS style, but the problem with guys like that is unless you win, and by win I mean championships early, players, especially multi-millionaire full grown men, will eventually tune him out. Obviously, it remains to be seen, but it's way too early for me to get all googly-eyed over him.

Im confused. Where, has it shown that Patrick Roy is an in-your face, no BS coach? If you read anything about him, all his players are talking about how calm a guy he is, laughing in the practices and warm-ups. What they are saying, is that the Avs are bringing a custom game plan for each team they play. In other words, hes coaching.

Theres been zero talk of him being a demanding, non-stop yelling, in-your face type coach. ZERO.

I dont think anyone is referring to practices and warm ups, Just in general roy is a very fired up person and when its game time, hes not very calm, never really has been, at least thats been my impression even when he was coaching remparts

Now, do i think the wings COULD be the team to beat the avs? yes. If the wings have a solid performance from howard (word is hes playing tonight) and have the PP continue to succeed.

Do i think the wings WILL be the team to beat the avs? no. I think itll be more like the game against pheonix. Playing against a team thats fired up, on a hot streak and has a custom gameplan for the wings.

Ill be watching thats for sure, and i hope im wrong and the wings crush them and howie gets a SO and roy cries himself to sleep.

At this point, any team can beat the avs.

As for your your hopes. Its gonna be tough for your prediction to be correct as the Monster is starting tonight.

Chris Osgood interviewed Roy this afternoon for the Detroit TV broadcast, how cool is that. Maybe I'm just living in the past but its great that those two guys are still involved in the game.

Its really awesome, except that ozzy's job was replacement for Larry murphy.. I miss murphy on fox sports man, im still bumming over him being fired. we ran into him at the casino like 2 weeks ago and he was just super nice. Great guy let go for nothing in my opinion.

Bad hit by McLeod, he will get suspended by it based on its a text book hit to the head, hope Kronwall is ok, he did put himself in a bad position by turning last minute with his head so low, but if McLeod held up like he is suppose to in those situation, he avoids contract with the head.

Agreed. I don't think he intentionally wanted to hit the head but absolutely you have to let up. Unfortunate hit and McLeod will most likely face some extra games off.

Horrible hit by McLeod, he'll get at least 5 games I think. Hope Kronwall is OK.

he was going in to wallpaper Kronwall, he wanted to make an impact hit so bad that he focused on hitting the player instead of making the right play. Need to see smart players out of a team leader like that

I had better not hear any troll Blackhawk fans cheering the fact that Kronwall got injured. It would not surprise me. Mitchell had a late hit on Glendening that was uncalled for. He should have got a roughing call.

Hope Kronwall is okay and that he does not get a concussion... that would be bad news for the Wings and Kronwall. Might be a call-up from Grand Rapids if Kronwall is going to miss any games. I'd say Almquist would get the call up.. he's shown a ton of potential.

Gus looks really sharp tonight. This is the best I've ever seen him play as a Red Wing. Hope he can keep this up while Howard's hand is healing.

Update on Kronwall... confirmed he has a concussion and some cuts. He will not be going to the hospital. Wonder how long he will be out.

Heard that. Glad no hospital. Hopefully he's back sooner than later.

On a game note. Detroit is handing Colorado their lunch right now.

I said it before and i'll say it again, I wish the Wings could find someone to hypnotize Franzen into thinking he is playing the Avs every game of the season and playoffs.

The monster has a really strong game tonight, came up big when he had to and your team really rallied around Kronwall, didnt start head hunting in retaliation.

No... not even close to that (yet). Gus has played great so far this season, but he still has to prove he can actually stay healthy for more than one month.

Nice road win tonight. This team needs more scoring from the 3rd & 4th lines. I still think the line combinations on the bottom 6 is terrible. Alfredsson has really picked his game up and is playing great. That 4th goal with Datsyuk was a beautiful setup.
